1. How am I affected if I was pulled over today for a first time offense DUI/DWI?
The penalties for DUI convictions have increased since the New DUI Law came into effect. These penalties are some of the toughest in the country. Please see DUI Penalties page for more information.
2. Will I have to install an Ignition Interlock in my car if my B.A.C. was under .15?
Any DUI/DWI conviction, even if B.A.C. is under .15, will carry a mandatory punishment of an Ignition Interlock for a minimum of one year.
3. If I received an Arizona DUI Traffic Ticket & Complaint the day before 9/19/2007, do my penalties match those of the New DUI Laws?
A citation that was written on 9/18/2007 or before will NOT fall under the New AZ DUI Laws.
4. How much jail time am I facing if my B.A.C. was over .200?
A "Super Extreme" is a DUI with a B.A.C. over .200. The mandatory punishment of the "Super Extreme" is 45 consecutive days in jail. Please see "Super Extreme" Penalties for more information.
